Initial Post - Chicagoland Italian Beef Eateries

My job had me living in the Chicagoland area for 15 years.  I then moved, but have been coming back to the area for work for the last 3+ years.  A year or so ago, I found an online article that ranked the top Italian Beef sandwiches in the Chicagoland area.  Mind you, I had been eating Italian Beef sandwiches for the last 15+ years, but not really paying attention to details.  I probably have been to some that were very good, but don't quite remember except for one in Harwood Heights, IL which I need to get back to one day.  For those of you who do not know what an Italian Beef sandwich is, you can read about it here...Italian Beef Sandwich.

Chicago's 18 Essential Italian Beef Sandwiches

So, in this blog, I am going to post of my recent travels to visit these locations and others in the quest for the best Italian Beef Sandwich in the Chicagoland area.  Now that I have been doing this, I have begun to notice some subtleties in each locations sandwich.  I will attempt to point them out as best as I can as it has been weeks, and in some cases months, since I have been to some of these places.  I may need to go back to a few to re-sample 😁😁😁.
